Northampton Transport's Gardner 180 engined ERF tow truck is seen taking a break from recovering gas buses to bring in this ex-Timeline Alexander (Belfast) bodied Leyland Tiger. The bus, no. 406 (G 55RND) had run into a car.

150 was great to ride in as a passenger, a bit like being in a small box with a Gardner engine, but to drive it was immense fun. I remember being allowed to drive it by the garage chargehand on a few bus recovery missions. The crane equipment had been removed a few years before, due to problems with having people qualified to use it, so it could only recover on a straight bar. I was often called on to steer in the dead bus.
